La Resolana, Spanish for the sunny place is an appropriate name for the south facing red cliffs overlooking irrigated green fields where Don Roach lives, farms, and paints. Visits to Studio Resolana in Arroyo del Agua, New Mexico, are welcome by appointment.
To reach Studio Resolana:
From Santa Fe, take state highway 84 north through Espanola and Abiquiu. 6.5 miles past Abiquiu, turn left (west) on State Highway 96 and proceed 17.3 miles to to the driveway on the right in the village of Arroyo del Agua. Look for the number on the gate post. 3159 State Highway 96.
From Albuquerque, take I-25 north to Bernalillo, exit to 550 north, and 3.5 miles past Cuba, turn right (east) on State Highway 96 and proceed 31.6 miles to the driveway on the left in the village of Arroyo del Agua. Look for the number on the gate post. 3159 State Highway 96.
